2013 has proven to be a year of great success for the Grill Academy™, picking up top awards at both the British Cookery School Awards and the Beautiful South Awards. We would like to thank everyone who helped make the Grill Academy such a great experience in 2013.
The Beautiful South Awards 2013 - 2014
For a second year running the Grill Academy™ was selected as a finalist for the Best Tourism Experience at the Beautiful South Awards 2013-2014 and we are delighted to announce that we won the top Gold award in this category. Last year we achieve a very respectable sliver award and are happy to see the hard work and passion we have injected into the Grill Academy™ this year has really paid off. The Visit England awards take place in 2014 so fingers crossed we can continue the success.
The British Cookery School Awards 2013
This year the Grill Academy™ was selected as a finalist for the Best Small Cookery School, Best English Cookery School, Young Rising Star, Best Tutor and the People’s Choice categories. Being selected as finalists out of hundreds of entries was a great achievement but to top it all off Jamie Foy, the Grill Academy’s Assistant Manager won the award for Young Rising Star. Well done Jamie! We are all very proud of his award and thank him for the hard work he puts into making the Grill Academy a fantastic place to visit. Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the People’s Choice category, we appreciate all your votes.
The Beautiful South Awards 2012 - 2013 - Silver Winner
The Weber Grill Academy beat dozens of other businesses and destinations to win a Silver award for Best Tourism Experience at the 2012 Beautiful South Awards for Excellence. 2012 was a brilliant year for the Weber Grill Academy, and this Silver award is the icing on the cake. We opened the doors of our barbecue cookery school less than three years ago, so we’re incredibly proud of the number of visitors we have attracted and the excellent feedback we receive on a daily basis. It’s only recently that cookery schools have started to be seen as ‘attractions’ in their own right, so it was great to see that TSE recognised all that we do to create a special experience for locals and visitors from across the country. We are looking forward to all that 2013 brings and continuing our mission to get the UK barbecuing the Weber way!
The British Cookery School Awards 2012 - Finalists
2012 has been a great year for the Weber Grill Academy and to add to our success at the Beautiful South Awards we made finalists in three of the 2012 British Cookery School Award Categories. The Weber Grill Academy was a finalist in the Best Specialist Cookery School Category, whilst our chefs Clare Edwards and Jamie Foy were finalists in the Best Tutor and Best Young Rising Star categories, consecutively. We hope all our hard work and dedication to making the Weber Grill Academy a unique, fun and informative barbecue cookery school will pay off in 2013.
